Not your usual tourism campaign.

The brief? Mix a narrative genre with the identity of a small Catalan town.

The town? Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, birthplace of cava, where the most important local festival stars… a phylloxera.

Our response? A playful, loving mockery of this fascinating, ritualistic, almost cult-like way of seeing life.

Watching how they celebrate a plague that once destroyed the vineyards, we came up with Filoxerismo: a religion-ish way of living that breathes through the piece, showing why Sant Sadurní is so special. It’s a philosophy we lived during production, one that the people of the town unknowingly taught us to embrace.

With this project, I finally got to make the mockumentary I’d always dreamed of. Those little details (the bits that probably shouldn’t have made the cut) ended up being the parts that really shone, turning this ironic piece into a surprisingly moving ode to resilience.
